Bio
Rachel Robertson Cox is a graduate of Brigham Young University Masters of Music degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in Choral Conducting. Favorite roles include Adele in BYU’s production of Die Fledermaus, Julie in Carousel, and Laurie in Oklahoma! A versatile performer, she is active in opera, operetta, musical theater, and oratorio and recently returned from study and performing at the American Institute of Music in Graz, Austria. Most recent projects include solo performances in the St. George Tabernacle concert series, in the Evening of Arias with the BYU Symphony, and in the recent KBYU TV/radio production of Praise to the Man. She received both the 2006 Nancy Marriot and 2007 Spilsbury BYU Young Artist of Voice awards and has won the NATS vocal competition. Rachel has been a member and soloist with BYU Singers for five years, and has toured with them to South Africa, Hawaii, Canada, and throughout the United States. In addition to her performing, Rachel loves teaching and has taught both group and private voice lessons at BYU and as a studio teacher at The Music School.
